Standard: Zada, Combo Leader

Today we look into one of the most overlooked cards in Battle for Zendikar This Goblin deserves a deck of his own. But what deck? Can he be budget? Lets dive right into it.

The Combo
The combo is essentially playing some small creatures and pumping them up with a Titan’s Strength or a Lithomancer’s Focus. With these two bad boys, you can win the game instantly.

The Creatures
But, How do you get full value from them. Prowess. MonasterySwiftspear and Seeker of the Way are two of the best Prowess creatures I know. Sure the Swiftspear isn’t quite budget like, but I think you would cut some edges to just see this combo in action.

Abbot of Keral Keep is becoming one of the staples in red based agro decks. Which is why its $8. We can’t do $8, but we can do $0.27. The best budget option that I can think of is Mage Ring Bully. It sort of is like the Abbot and that’s all I wanted to hear. Good Replacement.

Control the Mirror
The Aggro Mirror finally boils up to which deck can survive the longest in game one. And with our spells, surviving the longest won’t be a problem. May I present to you …………..  Controlling Aggro.

Radiant Flames has been the blockbuster card in standard right now. Being just under $2, Four of this won’t be too expensive. But wouldn’t this kill all you creatures you ask? Well, on the surface. Yes. But if you can get enough Prowess triggers, You will be keeping those creatures for yourself.

Treasure Cruise is also one card that has seen play in most of the token decks. A late game drawer? Yes please.

The Removal
Valorous Stance has just been showing us he deserves a spot in all white decks. Amazing Removal. But, the card that I wanted to talk about is Sandblast. This card is just perfect in the deck.

With three mana, You can kill Siege RhinoMantis Rider, and Wingmate Roc

I don’t know about you but killing Rhinos? Good Enough. The other Card that’s our backup plan in the deck is Suspension Field. This card is a very potential card that can take care of some really important threats. Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, And again RHINOS, Can’t stand a chance against it.

Putting down those lands
The reason why all blockbuster decks are 4 colurs, is because of Battle Lands. But Battle Lands just cause too much money. So, We’re going to go to the old gain lands. Won’t be as fast as the other Dark Jeskai Decks, but still. Good Enough
Without any time wasted I give to you ………. The decklist.

As for the Sideboard, playing some Surge of Righteousness and some Extra Valorous Stances Would be nice. Outpost Siege would be an insane drawer in the late game. You can also play some blue cards. Whisk Away is an awesome card that takes care of Hangarback Walker pretty well. In conclusion, this deck is essentially a ‘Controlling Aggro’ type deck. With the almost unlimited supply of Mantis Riders, Playing this deck won’t look that bad.
